Thank you for your super sweet words! My son has taught me so much about life. He was featured in the Disney Parks Blog last year - click
here. I have a friend with Crohn's Disease so I know what struggles you face on a daily basis & I'm thrilled you're going to set sail on the Disney Dream.
Although I hope to make it happen soon, I've never sailed on a Disney Cruise. However, we have a DCL Specialist on the Moms Panel, so I called on Andi to help me with your question. Andi told me that DCL guests can bring water bottles on board & take any unused ones off the ship. If you choose to purchase bottled water before checking in, pack them in a duffle bag & put a luggage tag on them like a checked bag. You can also order the cases of water from Gifts & Amenities under the Planning Center.
Andi also said that you may not need to bring as much as you might think. The water on board is filtered & tastes fine. There is free chilled water from the beverage station available 24 hours. Guests are welcome to bring their sports bottles & keep refilling them. The water on Castaway Cay is filtered, too. But if you're worried that the filtered water on board may cause you problems, go with what you know is a sure bet.
If you have any special dietary needs or restrictions or have any accessibility requirements, Andi wanted me to make sure you know to make DCL aware under Special Requests on the Customizing Your Cruise page. DCL cast & crew need to know of your medical conditions in case of an emergency & to make your voyage enjoyable & convenient. Andi said she'd love to assist you with any DCL questions that you have during your planning.
I hope you have the time of your life on the Dream. From everything I've seen & heard, she lives up to her name. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
