    Hi Ceci,

    My oldest son does indeed have epilepsy & we're blessed that like your daughter it is currently well controlled by medication. I love to hear that you are planning ahead to avoid problems & any potential disappointment for your daughter. First & foremost, talk to her doctor to get advice on what types of strobe lights or other factors that may trigger her seizures. Some seizures may be brought on by loud noises. Some attractions can also throw off someone's equilibrium off which may make them more susceptible.

    I've searched high & low on the Disney Website for a list of rides & attractions that include strobe lighting effects but I haven't been able to find a complete list. So I'm going to try to name some of the attractions that you may want to avoid or use caution. I'm probably going overboard on some of these but just thought I'd bring as much to your attention as I can remember. Make sure you look at the warnings posted at the attractions & double check with a Cast Member before boarding as Disney is always changing attractions. You could even go on a "test run". You could also bring something to cover her eyes if it becomes too much.

    Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain - tunnel with strobe effects. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin - flash of light when your picture is taken & a tunnel with stars & a moving target projected on the wall. Stitch's Great Escape - some strobe & flashing lights. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - brief lightning effects. Mickey's PhilharMagic - 4-D experience but no real flashes of lights. Haunted Mansion - lightning effects in pre-show area. Enchanted Tiki Room - strobe lights & lightning effects. Pirates of the Caribbean - brief lightning effects.
