Hi Allison! I have a follow up ? about the Earl of Sandwich in DD. Do you know if Babycakes bakery in DD sells gluten free bread that we could buy and take to Earl's for them to make a sandwich with? I can't thank you enough for all your help.

    Hi Jaynee,

It is always a pleasure to help you!

I checked with the General Manager at BabyCakes at Downtown Disney. She is super sweet & super helpful! Unfortunately, they do not bake traditional sandwich bread. The closest thing they bake is a Cornbread loaf which is sweet. She said that she has heard that there are some people that have used it for sandwiches.

If you think you may want to give this a try, keep in mind that they do not bake the cornbread everyday so you may want to call BabyCakes at 407-938-9044 ahead of time to see if they will have it available on the day you visit Downtown Disney.

I am not sure if the Earl of Sandwich will make sandwiches with outside bread. However, you should be able to order the sandwich ingredients and make your own sandwich at your table. Just explain that there is an allergy involved.

Another option is to bring some bread from home or order from a local delivery service if you won't have a car during your visit.  I checked gardengrocer.com and it doesn't appear that they offer gluten free bread right now. You could check their website a little closer to your trip to see if they have expanded their gluten free item selections.

Always wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
