Hi Allison- My daughter (6.5) has mild CP (right hemi). The 2 previous trips, she gladly rode in a stroller- this time (Jan 2011) I am afraid she will reject the stroller as "too baby", but don't know if she'll ride in a wheelchair all day. I t

    Hi Christine,

Your question got cut off so I'm going to give you some information. If it doesn't answer your question or if you need additional info, please feel free to visit me again - I'm super happy to help you.

I have a larger special needs stroller that my son uses so it doesn't look like a "baby" stroller. He loves it & so does my typical 5 1/2 year old son. As you know, the parks at Disney are huge & she may very likely get tired. If she rejects the idea of taking a stroller, you could rent a wheelchair at Disney if you see that she'd benefit from using one. If you purchase the Length of Stay option for the wheelchair, it will save you a little money.

Keep in mind that wheelchairs must remain in the park from which they were rented so if you park hop during a day, you will be required to turn it in before you leave that park and then show your receipt at the next park to get another one - subject to availability.

If you don't bring your stroller & she decides she wants one instead of renting a wheelchair, you could check into renting a special needs stroller from a vendor in the Orlando area. www.orlandostrollerrentals.com offers free delivery and pick up to Disney and other area resorts. They are not affiliated with Disney but have gotten great reviews.

Please feel free to visit me again, if you have further questions or need more details. I'm happy to assist you in making this an awesome trip for your family.

Wishing you many magical memories :-)  Allison
