Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Lizeth!
The Disney Parks are such wonderful places for kids with special needs! I've seen so many amazing things happen at Disney that you just never thought possible - even little things that so many people take for granted. There truly is something magical about being at Disney.
The
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is fabulous fun especially if you're a foodie! While I've been to Epcot with my son during the Food and Wine Festival, I've never taken him to any of the premium events that require a separate ticket. He honestly would never sit through one and I know I'd end up taking him out. The event I attended without my son was a cooking demonstration but I asked some of my other awesome Moms Panelists what some of the other events were like so I could give you information on a wide range of them.
The general consensus is that a lot of these premium events are like cooking seminars, lectures or demonstrations and not really geared toward kids. Some may have some coloring sheets set up to try to help entertain kids but I wouldn't consider the events true child-friendly. Party for the Senses can be crowded and noisy so if your son has sensory issues, that may not be a good choice either.
The "3D" Disney's Dessert Discovery may be your best option. It is more child friendly than the other options but there is music involved so its not a quiet event. If your son is sensitive to noise and he has headphones or some other type of device to reduce the noise level, bring them if you decide to attend.
Please feel free to visit again with any other questions. We're hEAR for you!
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
