    Hello All! How do families get picked to ride the steam train with Mickey and Friends for the opening ceremony at the Magic Kingdom? That would be real fun, but I can't find anything on how to do it? thanks all!

    Hi William,

    There's no guaranteed way to be selected as the family to participate in the Magic Kingdom's opening ceremony but there are a few things you can do to optimize your chances of being chosen.

    1.  Arrive at least 30-45 minutes earlier than park opening time. 

    2.  As you enter the turnstiles, greet the Cast Members you encounter with a big smile and a warm hello.

    I'll keep my fingers crossed that your family will be selected to ride the steam train with Mickey and friends.
