Hi, there!
Welcome back to planDisney, Kristi. We're delighted to see you again! Let's chat about your upcoming stay at the Walt Disney World Resort.
I'm a big fan of the
dining plans available to Guests of the Disney Resorts Collection. A dining plan adds much-needed convenience and flexibility to my family's Disney vacations! What's not to love about that? You ask a great question about the use of a quick-service meal. Whether you have the
Disney Dining Plan or the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, you can count on enjoying lots of delicious quick-service meals during your stay. Each quick-service meal includes 1 entrée and 1 nonalcoholic beverage. Guests 21 and older, however, can substitute the nonalcoholic beverage included with their quick-service meal for one-single serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine,
where offered. That italicized bit is the important part to remember! If you'd like to substitute the nonalcoholic beverage that comes with your quick-service meal for an alcoholic beverage, that has to be done at the same location, and not all Quick-Service dining locations offer alcoholic beverages. For example, if you're at
Connections Eatery at EPCOT (very much recommend!), you could order the Niçoise-style Salad (so good!) and a glass of Chardonnay (also so good!) and both items could be redeemed for one of the quick-service meals included with your dining plan. If you're at
Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom Park, though, you'll have no choice but to select a nonalcoholic beverage with your quick-service meal because alcoholic beverages aren't currently offered there.
Adding an alcoholic beverage to your quick-service meal (for Guests 21 and older, of course) really adds significant value to the price you paid for your dining plan. If you'd like to get the most bang for your Disney buck in that way, I encourage you to
check out quick-service menus on the Walt Disney World Resort website ahead of your visit. You'll be able to see what locations offer alcoholic drinks, and then you can plan accordingly.
Did you know you can
place Mobile Orders at select Quick-Service dining locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort? It's super convenient! The
My Disney Experience mobile app knows if you're using a dining plan and will help you apply your dining plan meal to your order at the time of checkout. If you add an alcoholic beverage to your mobile order, just be prepared to show valid identification when you pick up your order!
I hope this was helpful, Kristi. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! As always, we'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
