Can alcohol be taken into the room and consumed there?

Hello there Andrea! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s so exciting that you are planning a visit to the Disneyland resort

There’s nothing I enjoy more than sitting on my balcony or comfortable bed at a Disney resort after a fun day at the parks. And what better way to enjoy the balcony or my room than relaxing with my favorite adult beverage. Adults 21 and over may take alcohol into their rooms to be consumed there. You can find some of the most popular beers and wine available for purchase at one of the gift shops at the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. You can also stop by the bar where you’ll be staying and order a drink to-go, so you can relax in your room.

Although you can have alcohol available to you in your room, I highly suggest stopping by my favorite bar at the Disneyland Resort. Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar is located at the Disneyland Hotel and inspired by the world-famous Jungle Cruise attraction. Sam is the HEAD salesman at the bar and usually has a great deal going on. Just yesterday, he was offering two heads for one of yours. Either way you slice it, you’ll always come out a-head. It’s a pretty killer deal. If corny jokes aren’t your thing, stop by for a Polynesian cocktail that’s sure to quench your thirst. Don’t order a Shipwreck, unless you’re ready for a memorable experience on the high seas! I also highly recommend an off menu drink called the “Navy Grog.” Any of the skippers can whip one up for you.  If tiki drinks aren’t your thing, there is a full bar and a boatload of wine and beers to satisfy the pickiest of drinkers. If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel, you can take your drink with you and enjoy it in your room. Just make sure you let the skipper know so they can put it in a to-go cup.

Well Andrea, I’m so glad you stopped by today. If you found this useful then I’m Andres with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. If you didn’t find this useful, then my name is Ezra from the Haunted Mansion. Last corny joke, I promise!

Remember, always believe in the magic!
