Ahoy, Ranjana!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You and your family are in for an incredible Alaskan voyage aboard the Disney Wonder this June! My family and I sailed to Alaska for the second time this past July and still talk about the trip as if it happened yesterday. I can't wait for you and your explorers to see the beauty of Alaska for yourselves!
You asked a great question! There are some parts of the voyage that are chillier than others so I suggest wearing layers and bringing a coat, hat and gloves so you're fully prepared. For example, we were coldest watching the gorgeous scenery while the ship slowly made its way up the
Tracy Arm fjord to the incredible Sawyer Glaciers. You will want to spend every moment possible on deck during this part of the voyage so here's when you'll most likely wear your coat, hat and gloves! While walking through the towns at the different ports of call, it becomes warmer throughout the day, so I suggest wearing layers. If it's cold while you're watching the kiddos playing in the pool onboard, Disney Cruise Line often has warm blankets available right near the pool for Guests to snuggle up in! Also, there is all-you-can-drink hot chocolate available at the 24/7 beverage station on deck! We have the best pictures of our family all cuddled together, drinking our hot chocolate with the Alaskan landscape as our backdrop.
If you haven't checked out the
Packing List for Disney Cruises, I recommend taking a look at it when you have a moment! It will give you great suggestions for what to pack for your voyage to the last frontier.
If you have any other questions before your amazing cruise with Captain Mickey to Alaska, please don't hesitate to sail back and visit us again!
