We would like to take an Alaskan cruise. Will there be enough port adventures for our 7 year old? We want her to be able to experience Alaska, we have already done several Bahamas disney cruise. Thank you!

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Amanda!

Planning your next Disney Cruise is always a lot of fun -- and you learn so much more with every cruise that you go on. I'm sure you'll agree... a cruise with Disney just never gets old. Now that you've had a taste of what it feels like to be on a magical voyage, you're likely to be a little less stressed about what's going on around you. The Alaskan voyage is absolutely amazing. It is breathtaking and it's the most different of all the cruises that Disney does all around the world. My kids thought it was spell bounding - they were mesmerized, amazed and in awe of what they saw and experienced in Alaska. Your 7 year old will have a blast for sure!

There are a good number of choices for Port Adventures while cruising Alaska. To check out what to look forward to, click on this link to bring you to the site's excursions. You can sort and filter by port of call to see the different excursions available for families. You can even choose to limit the excursion choices to sort by age group (example, 5-7 years old). My family enjoyed the sight seeing day trips, and the outdoor adventures we took. My kids got to sample fresh salmon, they even got to ride on a float plane to view the majestic fjords from high above. Seeing whales, dolphins, sea lions and bald eagles so close to us while out on a port adventure was definitely memorable. The guides who accompany the excursions are well trained to deal with families with children, and they really take the time to explain the habitat of our sea friends. And those enormous glaciers... wow! I learned so much from the tour guides myself.

Cruising with Disney to Alaska will be such a great adventure. I'm hoping that you check it out soon... you'll be glad you did.  ~Dolly
