Howdy Rachel!
Welcome to planDisney. There is nothing I love more than helping a fellow Texan plan their next vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth. We just got back from our latest trip, and I'm ready to help you with all of your planning.
I believe you are interested in the
Lightning Lane Multi / Single Pass, formerly known as Genie+. The Lightning Lane passes allow you to skip the standby line and instead join a shorter line for select attractions and experiences. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel or other Select Hotel, you may begin booking your Lightning Lanes at 7 AM EST 7 days prior to your arrival for up to 10 days of your visit. If you are not staying at one of these resorts, then your booking window opens up 3 days prior to the first day of your visit. What you will want to do is open your
My Disney Experience app and tap the Purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass button. You can also choose any Single Pass experiences as well. From here, you will want to choose the date that you will be visiting and park. Next, you will add everyone in your party and choose 3 experiences to start with. Please note that you can only book additional Lightning Lane experiences after you have scanned in to your first one for the day.
Another option that you might want to consider is the Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This pass allows you to enjoy one-time entry to each Lightning Lane experience in a park that day, with no set arrival times. This is great for those who want as much flexibility as possible.
One last tip I would like to leave you with is to be sure not to miss the amazing parades, cavalcades, nighttime spectaculars, and fireworks at each park. We always have so much extra time with our Lightning Lane passes that we never have to stress about seeing our favorites. Oh, and you have to absolutely see my favorite new nighttime spectacular,
Disney Starlight - Dream the Night Away. It’s amazing!
Rachel, I hope this helps and that you have a magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. If you have any further questions, please stop back by, and one of my fellow panelists or I will be happy to assist.
See ya real soon,
Robert
