    Hi Jonas!Another?about AKL.Only booked standard vw but have to limit walking for husband due to foot problems.Agent@WDW suggested Zebra trail by elevator to put on as request.Also said we probably get decent view of savannah.Good choice?Any thoughts?Thnx:)

    Hi Diana:

    I think that is a great choice.  Even though your request is noted, I would call the Resort at 407-938-3000 about a week prior to check-in to reconfirm your request.  I would also note your request again when you check in.  Room requests are not guaranteed, but if Disney is able to honor your request, they will work with you to do so. 

    Because the Animal Kingdom Lodge is shaped like an open necklace, some rooms are a decent walk from the lobby.  My family once had the farthest room away from the lobby.  We did not mind since we were able to look at animals on the savanna through hallway windows whenever we walked back and forth from our room.  However, if your husband has walking limitations, the priority should be getting a room that minimizes walking.  Every savanna view we've had at the Lodge has been wonderful.
