    AKL or Wilderness Lodge? Can't decide and because of our budget either will have to be a standard room! Would love any input! Thank you!

    Hello, Denise!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    Wow!  This is a tough question.  Why?  I simply LOVE both these Walt Disney World Resorts and deciding between the two of them is going to be hard.  Ok, here we go!

    One of the great things that I enjoy about the AKL is the savannah animal-viewing area.  You may as well have been dropped down in the middle of Africa when you stay here.  If you have little ones, this is a great way to start your day!  This resort has won numerous awards and, once you arrive, you will see why. The pool area is simply MAGICAL and there are so many activities to do at this resort.  Be prepared, in my opinion, to have a longer wait for the Disney Transportation System (buses) to get you to where you need to go.  This resort is in a very remote area and it may take longer to get to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios.  

    Disney's Wilderness Lodge, in my opinion, offers much better transportation.  In addition to the WDW Transportation System, you can also catch a boat to the Magic Kingdom.  The lobby will leave you breathless as you gaze up at the log-cabin ceilings that seem to go on forever.  You will feel as if you plopped yourself down in the middle of a great forest.  This resort offers great dining experiences such as the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  Just make sure to ask for some ketchup!  The pool area is simply MAGICAL, too!

    Well, I gave you a small glimpse of what I love about each of these two resorts.  My answer space is limited, but I hope it is enough to help you decide for yourself.  Are you wanting to travel to Africa or enjoy one of our great wilderness parks?
