We have 150 AKL points with a use year of March. We used 6 points for this year's holiday from our March 2024 points and want to use the remaining 144 points for Aug 2025 .Can we bank them in October 2024 as my DVC app says we've missed the window?

    Hey Howdy Hey, Emma!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney.  Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about your Disney Vacation Club Points.  As a Disney Vacation Club Member for the last 22 years, we have loved all of the affordable family vacations Membership has given us, year after year. It truly has provided a whole new world for our family trips!

Emma, without having access to your account, it's hard for me to be able to know which Vacation Points you drew from your last trip.  The banking deadlines outlined in the banking chart are specific for your Use Year, and typically, the website or Member Services would have the most accurate information.

According to this chart, it looks like October 31st is the deadline to bank Vacation Points for a March Use Year, but without knowing the specifics of your account, I can't quite tell which Vacation Points you used. However, usually, the Use Year is the year in which we are in. For example, I have an October Use Year, and my 2023 Vacation Points were available as of October 1st of this year.  I have until May 31st to bank my 2023 Vacation Points.  My 2024 Vacation Points will be available on October 1 of 2024.

If it is not letting you bank your Vacation Points, either you used 2023 Vacation Points and missed the window to book them, there is something in your account that requires your attention, or you may have borrowed ahead into 2024 and may not be able to bank them until your March 2024 Use Year begins.  I would recommend calling Member Services so they can check to see how you used your Vacation Points, as well as if your remaining Vacation Points can be banked, and if so when.

I hope this helps you, Emma! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back and see us and we will be happy to help you.

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
