Hi Meghan,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
It’s great to hear that you have Wilderness Explorers in your family, Dug and Russell would be proud! The
Wilderness Explorer attraction in Animal Kingdom is available from 9:00 a.m. until 5:15 p.m. daily. In your case, it wouldn’t be available when you leave
Pandora – The World of Avatar later in the evening.
Here’s a suggestion for you. On your day in
Animal Kingdom, you and your Wilderness Explorers should try to get as many badges as possible. If you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you’ll have an extra 30 minutes with the
Early Theme Park Entry in celebration of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary! During this time, you can focus on other attractions so at 9:00 a.m. you can start earning those badges. If you have older kids in your party and they want to experience some of the more thrilling attractions your little ones might not be able to do, you can look for even more badges!
If you don’t gather all the badges in one day, Hakuna Matata. As you're planning, I recommend scheduling some time in your trip so you can go back to Animal Kingdom for a few hours to finish up all 25 badges. If you’re using a Park Hopper ticket, you can enter Animal Kingdom beginning at 2:00 p.m (subject to availability). Once the wilderness is fully explored, let everyone know by saying the call: Caw! Caw! Roar!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you plan to explore the wilderness in Animal Kingdom.
