If we get to AK before opening on 2/13 with our 2 girls (4,6yo), should we go all the way back to GF for a break midday then come back and stay until AK closes at 5pm. Or try to get it all done before we break(seems so far to go to GF) Dinner at WC 545pm

    Hi Jeanine,

Animal Kingdom is the one theme park that I recommend doing in "one shot", and revisiting on a second day if there are attractions that interest your group.  The flagship attraction, the Safari, tends to offer the best animal-spotting opportunities early in the day, as the animals like to siesta in the afternoon.  With little girls, I'm guessing you will probably skip some of the "crazier" rides like Expedition Everest.  Even if you make use of rider swap, and go, I think by arriving at rope drop, heading to the safari first, and then seeing the other attractions you are interested in, you can cover most of the "main events" in one day.

Because the park closes significantly earlier than the other three, a long break mid-day wouldn't leave much time to come back.  I'm guessing by "WC", you mean you have dinner at Whispering Canyons Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge at 5:45.  I would recommend getting back to your room and taking your "break" before heading out to dinner.  By the way, Whispering Canyons is a riot.  Your girls will love it!

    Have a wonderful visit!
