We are going to be at AK and are hoping to return to BC to relax before going to the Pirate Fireworks Boat ride at 8. Is it better to take bus to MK and then monorail or can we access the monorail from Epcot? How much time should we allow to get to C?

    Hi Nicole!

Disney Moms Margaret, Beth and I experienced the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage along with our families in August and had a fabulous evening!  Our kids had a wonderful time at the character meet and greet with Captain Hook, and the Cast Member "Pirate" who hosted our adventure was hysterical!  The view of Wishes was truly spectacular from the boat.  When we docked, we were treated to a special visit by Peter Pan!

To get to the Contemporary Resort, where the event starts with a delightful reception stocked with sweets, I recommend taking a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then walking to the Contemporary via the walkway from the park to the resort.  (The walk is about 5-7 minutes at a leisurely pace.)  You could also hop on a resort monorail to the Contemporary from the Magic Kingdom.  I would allow about an hour to ensure you arrive on time.  You could also walk from the Beach Club, through the International Gateway Entrance to the front of Epcot, exit the park there, and catch a monorail to Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).  At the TTC, you will need to transfer to the resort monorail line and exit at the Contemporary.  I would allow about twenty extra minutes using this route, as you will need to make your way through all of Epcot to catch a monorail at the front of the park.

However you get there, have a wonderful evening!
