We will be at AK on Dec 19th with our 6&7old daughters and really want to see the Lion King, Kilimanjaro Safari, the parade, the caracter meeting and the Dinosaur ride. Could you please help me fit it all in so that we aren't running back and forth! Th

    Hi Monique,

I would start your day at the Kilimanjaro Safaris.  The lines are shortest for this ride at the beginning of the day and the animals are often very active in the morning.  Next I would go see Mickey and friends in Camp Minnie Mickey.  Head to The Festival of the Lion King next.  Show times will be listed on the Times Guide you can pick up as you enter the park.  I heartily recommend that you skip Dinosaur.  If your girls are typical six- and seven-year-olds it is much too scary for them.  I made the mistake of taking my five-year-old son on this ride a few years ago and he was terrified.  It took him over an hour of downtime in the Boneyard to calm down from that little adventure.  Seriously, I'd wait and take them on that ride when they are at least tweens.

Don't worry, though!  There are plenty of amazing attractions at this theme park for your girls to enjoy.  Be sure to squeeze in Finding Nemo - The Musical.  It's an awesome show.  Again, performance times will be listed on the Times Guide I mentioned earlier.  Try to arrive at least twenty minutes before the stated show time to get a good seat.

Have fun at Disney's Animal Kingdom in December!
