Hey Howdy Hey David and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for stopping by with your question about transportation to and from the airport and the Walt Disney World Resort. I will try to point you in the right direction for ways to get back and forth.
When we said goodbye to Disney's Magical Express transportation between Orlando International Airport and Walt Disney World, this left a lot of us wondering how to navigate this situation. I am happy to say there are several companies and options you can take advantage of however they do come with a fee.
MEARS Connect was the company that Disney partnered with for the Magical Express and they still have shuttles running from the airport to and from Walt Disney World. You would need to book your reservations through them. If you did an internet search for "Walt Disney World Airport Transportation" this will also give you a few options to choose from to compare pricing.
The other option to choose from is the popular ride-share option. You can choose from apps such as Lyft or Uber which will also have options to get you back and forth. Just make sure if you are traveling with children that you take a look at the laws in Florida to see if they would need car seats or not in the vehicles selected.
I'm sure you are aware of the many forms of transportation around Walt Disney World once you get onsite. With complimentary options of
Disney Skyliner,
Walt Disney World Monorail System,
boats and buses, you can get virtually anywhere onsite with these options. If you need more of a quicker alternative,
Disney Minnie Van service is the way to go. This service is operated by Lyft and is Disney's rideshare option. This will get you on a direct path almost anywhere you want to go throughout the resort. This does come with an added cost, however.
Best of luck finding transportation to fit your needs. If you have any further questions, please feel free to drop by and let us know, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
