Hey there, hi there Carmella! You're always welcome as can be at
planDisney, and we're so glad to have you hEAR.
As a fellow out-of-state visitor to the Happiest Place on Earth, I also have to rely on
air transportation when I head to the house of Mickey Mouse. For me, the best airport to fly into is the one to which I can secure a direct flight at the best price. If you're looking for convenient proximity to the Disneyland Resort, my preference is to land at John Wayne International Airport (SNA), which is usually less than a thirty-minute drive from the magic. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the largest airport within driving distance of the Disneyland Resort, and you may find the most options and best prices to and from here. Other airports that will get you close to Anaheim are Long Beach Airport (LBG), Ontario International Airport (ONT), and Bob Hope Airport in Burbank (BUR).
While the
Disneyland Resort hotels do not offer official shuttle services to any of the nearby airports, the Disneyland website provides
detailed information on ground transportation options. If you plan to enjoy other area attractions while in Southern California, consider renting a car, but if Disneyland Resort is your only destination, a ride share service like Uber or Lyft will be your fastest and most convenient method of transportation. I recommend using each company's online fare estimator tool to get an idea of what your cost might be. Remember to use the tool around the time of day you'd be traveling to avoid surprise surge pricing increases.
I hope this is helpful as you prepare to fly off to Never Land later this year, Carmella. If there is anything else we at planDisney can do to help make your trip more magical, please come see us anytime. Thanks again for sending your question our way, and we look forward to
welcoming you back to a land of magic!
