My Airman is at an overseas base where they don't have the Military Salute tickets. He will be joining me in Orlando for family vacation. Can a different military friend purchase the vouchers for us and my soh exchange for tickets, with military ID?

    Hi Kathy,

Thank you for stopping by the panel and asking your question. As a fellow Airman, I love that I can help your son, and you, in this capacity. You're going to have a great time during your Walt Disney World vacation! Unfortunately, Armed Forces Salute military discounted tickets must be purchased by the active military member, veteran or their spouse. If he has a friend purchase the tickets, that friend will have to not only use one of those tickets for himself, but he would need to be present to activate the tickets. Armed Forces Salute tickets cannot be exchanged once purchased by a military member.

Even though your Airman won't be able to purchase them before your trip, they can be purchased once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. He can go to the Shades of Green Resort to purchase the tickets. Or, he can purchase the tickets at Guest Services booth at any theme park, or Guest Services booths in Downtown Disney. Please keep in mind that if the tickets are purchased outside of Shades of Green or your local base, you will have to pay tax on that purchase.

I hope this answered your question, Kathy. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask me anytime.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
