Hi Jennifer,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is one of my family’s favorites – in fact, my kids call it our “Disney home.” The resort just feels like vacation to me, with its lush landscaping, beautiful theming, and fabulous pool, and I can’t wait to stay at the new
Gran Destino Tower soon!
I checked with a Cast Member, who told me that, for fire code reasons, air mattresses are not permitted in Gran Destino Tower’s rooms. If this poses a problem for your party, I recommend calling Walt Disney World Resort Reservations at (407) 939-1936, as they will be able to tell you which resort rooms can accommodate an air mattress, and even if the resort might be able to provide one. It really depends on the room’s configuration and occupancy rules, so talking to a Cast Member is your best bet.
Another option that might work for your party is a 5th Sleeper room. These room categories are available at both
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. The 5th Sleeper Rooms feature a pull-down bed that works really well for elementary children and smaller teenagers, and the beds have fun Disney theming inside. My kids always have to negotiate over who is going to get the fun “extra” bed! There are also several Deluxe resorts that sleep five with a sleeper sofa option; just
filter the Resort Hotel web page based on party size to see what options might work, or call the Reservations Cast Members to hear about your options and availability.
I hope this helps you find the perfect place for a magical night of sleep during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Jennifer. I know I sleep like Princess Aurora after a full day of theme park fun, splashing in the pool, eating all the Mickey-shaped snacks, and laughing and adventuring with my family – and I hope you have the BEST time on your upcoming visit!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
