Ahoy! We're sailing on the Disney Fantasy from Barcelona on 17th May 2025, and were wondering if there was going to be a Pirate Night and Fireworks on this sailing? Are there any other themed nights we need to prepare outfits for? Thank you!

    Ahoy, Alexandra!

It be thrillin’ to hear ye’ll be setting sail on the Disney Fantasy through the Mediterranean! What a grand adventure ye have ahead, and a 7-night sailing from Barcelona is sure to bring magic and memories as far as the eye can see. So, let’s hoist the sails and answer yer pirate-y question!

First off, ye’ll be glad to hear that Pirate Night is indeed planned for yer voyage! This swashbuckling evening is a highlight on any Disney cruise, with plenty of treasure-worthy fun in store. While fireworks are not currently scheduled for this particular itinerary (a bit of a “yo-ho-no,” I know), there’s still plenty to look forward to. The Pirate Night deck party is always a blast, filled with music, dancing, and more pirate swagger than Captain Jack Sparrow himself! And let’s not forget the "Bananas in Paradise" dessert served at dinner—it’s a treasure all on its own. Be sure to pack yer pirate garb, whether it be full regalia or just a trusty pirate-themed shirt. You’ll fit right in with the crew!

As ye prepare yer sea chest, don’t forget to include attire for the formal and semi-formal nights scheduled on your cruise. Formal night is currently set for yer first sea day, with semi-formal on the second. While donning yer fancy garb is optional, it’s always fun to get a bit dolled up (or ship-shape) for a fancy dinner and take advantage of the photo backdrops in the Atrium. Posing for these pictures has always been a family tradition for us, and we love adding them to our Disney cruise scrapbook. But let me tell ye, matey, it’s becoming a bit more of a challenge now that my little pirates are growing into teens! Convincing them to strike a pose sometimes feels like trying to get a kraken to smile for the camera. Still, I treasure every shot we manage to snag—it’s all part of the adventure, and those memories are worth more than any chest of gold!

For the rest of yer cruise, keep an eye on yer Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as you board to confirm the schedule and any updates to theme nights. This handy tool will also let you scope out character meet-and-greets, onboard activities, and even menus—so ye can plan yer days like a true adventurer.

Alexandra, I hope this helps ye prepare for a voyage filled with swashbuckling fun, dazzling destinations, and memories as golden as Captain Hook’s treasure. Pack yer best pirate hat, practice yer “arrrs,” and get ready to set sail on an adventure ye’ll never forget!

Sea ya real soon with pixie dust and ocean breezes,
    Dustin
