Ahoy, Claudia!
I'm so excited to welcome you back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for sailing back and asking these great questions! We love booking
Disney Vacations by Land and Sea! When we do, we always use
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers to and from Port Canaveral. I love when we're driving to Port Canaveral and see the Disney Cruise ship for the first time through the window of the motor coach. It's magical!
There is a specific time (and location) on the morning of your sail date you'll need to meet the Disney Cruise Line representative who will take you to the motor coaches. You'll receive a letter under the door of your Walt Disney World Resort room detailing where and when you'll meet the Disney Cruise Line representative the morning you set sail. This letter will also tell you when your luggage will be picked up from your Walt Disney World Resort room and whisked away to your Disney Cruise ship. Then, it will "magically" appear outside your stateroom door! You and your family will walk in a group with other cruisers, led by a Disney Cruise Line representative, to where you will board the motor coach from your Walt Disney Resort hotel. I'm not sure how many motor coaches depart from the resorts but I do know there are enough motor coaches for the number of people booked to take them! On my family's most recent cruise, there were two motor coaches taking our entire group from our resort to Port Canaveral.
Claudia, I hope I was able to answer all your excellent questions! If you have any more questions before your incredible voyage, please don't hesitate to visit us again and ask!
