Ahoy there! I have friends traveling on the Dream in December (keeping my fingers crossed it sails!). I would like to treat them to a Rainforest day pass. What is the best way for me to do that? Thanks so much! Here's to smooth sailing ahead!

    Ahoy Shannon!

Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How awesome is it that you are wanting to treat your friends to a surprise during their voyage on the Disney Dream? You are winning the best friend of the year award in my book!

Excellent idea about bestowing a Rainforest one-day pass upon your friends! The Rainforest in the Senses Spa and Salon is an adults-only area oasis and an escape from the hustle and bustle of a busy cruise itinerary. Hands down, this is my absolute guilty pleasure when I sail. It’s not just a treat, it’s what I call an investment in my health and well-being!

What Guests can expect in this limited access spa area: aromatherapy showers, a steam room, dry sauna and traditional sauna, and my personal favorite, the heated tile loungers. On the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the Rainforest also features a covered outdoor area with two hydrotherapy hot tubs.

So here are two ideas on how to make this gift a reality. First, you can pre-purchase a Rainforest one-day pass by calling (800) 601-8455. Guests must be 18 or older to access the Rainforest and the amenities at Senses Spa and Salon, and an 18% gratuity will be added to the price.

The other option would be to purchase an Onboard Spa and Salon credit that could be applied either to a Rainforest pass or other spa services and treatments. To arrange an onboard Spa and Salon credit online through Onboard Gifts, you would need their date of departure and names. If they are not able to use the full amount of the credit on spa or salon services, any credit balance can cover any charges on their stateroom account.

Whether you choose a Rainforest one-day pass or a salon credit, your friends would receive a card in their stateroom indicating the credit is from you along with a personalized message (so long as you make the arrangements at least 2 days before sailing). Through the years, I’ve had several surprises awaiting us in our stateroom on Embarkation Day before setting sail, and I have to say that they were the pixie dust sprinkled over the start to our Disney sailings.

Shannon, gift us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more planning questions! I sincerely hope that your friends enjoy their Disney cruise all the more because of your sweet gesture!
