Ahoy! Our booking window opened for Silver Castaway Club today. I have been calling and trying online to book a room on the Disney Wish next summer. I keep losing the phone calls 3 hours in and nothing is working on the website. Any access ideas? Thanks

Ahoy there, Courtney! Thanks for sailing our way here at planDisney!

I'm sorry some rough seas gave you trouble booking your Disney Cruise Line vacation on the Disney Wish! With summer 2023 itineraries being released a bit later than usual, there was sure to be a shipload of Guests looking to board the website and phone lines all at once! Kudos to you for taking the "planDrew-approved" approach of sailing at all points - also known as trying to both call and use the website to book!

If you're anything like me, whenever I'm looking at itineraries on the Disney Cruise Line website I have a million tabs open, and one of the things I've noticed over the years is that sometimes that leads to issues on my sessions - especially during early booking! So what I like to do is close my browser window and start fresh to see if that helps. Once I start a new session, I make sure to check the top of the page to see if it says "Welcome, Andrew," and if so, I log out and log back in again just to be sure! More often than not, that seems to help me get the website responding the way I expect it to and allow me to have the options I'd expect for early booking!

If you're still having trouble at that point, my best suggestion is to clear your browser's cache or do a hard refresh (usually done by holding the Shift key and pressing F5) to rule out any of those issues.

When it comes to the phone lines, I know the crew members have been doing their absolute best, but I totally understand the frustration of losing those calls three hours into holding - it's a good thing that music never gets old! Joking aside, the best advice I could give is to try calling in at different times - I've had success first thing when the lines open in the morning at 8 a.m. Eastern as well as around 11 a.m. right when that "first batch" of Guests finishes their calls, and right around when you said you usually get disconnected.

Well Courtney, I hope that helps you find the right heading to get on the right course to making your reservations - if not this time, then the next when the fall 2023 itineraries are released...whenever that may be! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others that sail over the horizon as you continue planning your cruise on the Disney Wish, please drop another message in a bottle and send it my way! I'll be on the lookout for it!

Until then, I wish you fair winds and following seas!

    Andrew
