Hi agian, we are only 26 days from our 1st WDW vac. & I have another Q for you. Staying at the Poly, & was wondering about the pool. We have 3 kids (7, 5, 2) they luv the pool. What is the vocano pool like? Any slides? Can they use arm floati

    Hi Michelle,

I absolutely love the volcano pool at the Polynesian (the quiet pool is really nice here too!).  The volcano pool is a tad bit on the smaller side compared to other WDW Resort pools in my opinion but this adds to the relaxing atmosphere you experience as if you really are vacationing somewhere in Hawaii (with an added touch of Disney Magic).  Your children will have a blast I am sure not only in the pool but the nice white sandy beach right next to it as well (my daughter spends most of her time there when we stay at the Polynesian).

On to your question and answer based on my experiences with my daughter when she was younger, she was definitely allowed to use arm floaties or even a lifejacket while going down the slide.  I will tell you that I found out very quickly (as did a lot of other parents doing this very same thing with their younger ones) that the children are not allowed to ride down the slide with an adult.  Only single riders are allowed, so I would wait at the bottom for my daughter to come down and kind of "catch her at the bottom" as she didn't like going under the water at all.  Now of course at the age of almost 10 years old, I don't have to worry about this anymore.  I hope you have a wonderful time at my favorite "Deluxe" Resort.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
