Hi Diana!
Thanks for bringing this fun question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We did the PinQuest challenge on our recent visit to
Magic Kingdom Park, and I would highly recommend it for your 14-year-old and 12-year-old!
In fact, the PinQuest challenge is an activity that your whole family will enjoy. To participate, you will first need to purchase an adventure kit. The kit contains a lanyard, a decoder medal, a map and a lanyard pouch to hold your map and clue cards (sold separately). There are six different PinQuest clue cards, and each clue card has a question you will need to answer. Once you answer the question, you show your answer to the NavigatEAR Cast Member. The Cast Member will stamp your map and give you a PinQuest pin in exchange for the perforated ticket on the bottom of your clue card. (Be sure to hold on to the clue cards; you'll need them to get your QuestEAR completer pin at the end of the challenge.) Once you receive your first pin, you can continue the adventure by lining up the arrows of the pin with the decoder medal to find the map coordinates that will lead you to your next stop in Magic Kingdom Park!
One of the clues had the four adults and three kids in our group stumped, and it was so much fun working together to figure out the answer! As I mentioned, our group worked together, but I could also see this being a fun family competition as well! You can read more about the
PinQuest challenge on the
Disney Parks Blog.
I hope this information helps with your planning. Please stop back again soon if you have any additional questions.
Wishing you magical memories!
Erin
