Hi Jennie!
Welcome party of eight! A
Walt Disney World vacation with a whole club of Mouseketeers is more magical.
Rider Switch, commonly called Baby Swap in Disney speak, was a glorious gift before all our children's heights hit 44-48 inches. If the older ones wanted to experience
Space Mountain, but the littles were too short-no worries. Both adults could still easily enjoy the ride. I could wait with the stroller kids while my husband rode with our taller children. After they plummeted down on the dark coaster, I could then ride with the oldest siblings via the quicker queue.
Rider Switch is typically used to allow two parents the ability to enjoy a
height requirement ride while smaller children are never left unsupervised, but the program is available for "a Guest (who) does not wish to board a particular attraction." Typically if an adult does not want to ride, he can simply wait for his party, experience another attraction, or enjoy a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar while his family zips and dips on a coaster. The policy does allow the adult who rode first to take "over the supervision of the non-riding children or Guests." You will likely find the same child can be in both the first and second rider party, but an adult is limited to one ride.
Wishing many fun rides and attractions during your time with the mouse!
Elisabeth
