Hi there, Ruben, and welcome to planDisney!
Are you referring to the filter options in the
Disneyland mobile app and on
Disneyland.com? I love using these to get an idea of all the different options to choose from when visiting the parks with family and friends!
From what I've seen when using the filters, the "Teens" tab will filter for attractions and entertainment suited for those between the ages of roughly 12-19 or so. You'll see this list is heavy on the thrills and doesn't include some of the options geared toward a younger audience.
The "Kids" tab has a pretty broad assortment of suggestions for the age ranges of birth to about 11. I've noticed this filter seems to be one of the more general ones as it has attractions with no height limit (like "
Alice in Wonderland"), but also some of the more thrilling attractions (like "
Space Mountain") since it covers such a wide array of ages, but makes sense because Disneyland is fun for the whole family!
The "Preschoolers" tab is geared more toward young kids aged 3-4 and is a curated list of attractions with no or low height requirements and doesn't have many of the more thrilling (and scary!) rides that probably wouldn't be a good fit for many in this age range (like
Indiana Jones™ Adventure which is dark, loud, and has a 46" height requirement).
I've really had a lot of luck using these filters in both the planning stages of my trips and also when I'm actually in the parks and trying to think through what to do next. I hope they implement more in the future!
I hope that was helpful, Ruben - thanks again for your question! Please feel free to come back and see us here at planDisney if you have any follow-ups. We'd love to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
