Hi Brenda!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The first word that comes to mind after hearing you will be cruising with Captain Mickey is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! As Mary Poppins would say, “anything can happen if you let it” during your Disney cruise, especially the variety of
onboard entertainment for adults.
Good news! Guests ages 18 and up are welcome to enjoy any of the
adult exclusive spaces onboard the ship, including the lounges. However, be aware that Disney Cruise Line does adhere to an alcohol policy and will only serve those 21 and older with proper ID.
The lounges also are home to some excellent onboard entertainment: magic and comedy acts, games, and costume parties just to name a few. And the Silent DJ Party is loads of fun as Guests dance with headphones on while listening to different music channels.
I have an almost 19-year-old as well, and I know she’s eager to join us in many of the adult exclusive areas onboard Disney Cruise Line, including the
Quiet Cove Pool,
Senses Spa and Salon,
Cove Café, and my favorite dining rooms
Palo and
Remy.
Here’s a spoonful of sugar: Disney Cruise Line has created the 1820 Society, a social group for guests 18-20 years old. Hey, it makes sense to name it that, right? It offers planned events for young adults who have bridged the gap from the Youth Clubs, but still want to spend time with their peers. The first 1820 Society event is typically an icebreaker and gives everyone a chance to get to know one another!
Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the daily schedule of these events as well as other activities and entertainment during your sailing. Since it’s located on your phone, you can conveniently access it and not have to carry around a giant magic bag like Mary Poppins!
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you need any further help charting a course to your practically perfect vacation, Brenda!
Happy Sailing!
