Is there a age group for the 5th sleeper bed in the Caribbean beach resort , my youngest child is 13 years old

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dennis!

Disney Resort Hotels offer so many wonderful perks to a Walt Disney World vacation, and one of my favorites is that little extra room we get when we head back "home" for the night.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a lovely property, with gorgeous tropical theming throughout its convenient location. The fifth sleeper in these rooms, much like those in many other Disney Resort Hotels, can accommodate a child under 18, so your 13-year-old will be able to sleep there. My son has slept in this type of bed at several Disney properties when he was a tall 11-12, and he was perfectly comfy in them.

That being said, if your 13-year-old is very tall, you may want to consider other accommodations that include a fifth sleeping option that is not a pull-down child-sized bed. For example, Disney's Art of Animation Family Suites feature 1 queen bed, 1 double-size table bed, and 1 double-size sleeper sofa. Family Suites at Disney's All-Star Music Resort offer 1 queen bed, 1 double-size sleeper sofa, 1 twin-size sleeper chair, and 1 twin-size sleeper ottoman. (The separate sleeper chair and sleeper ottoman are especially helpful if, like us, you have siblings who would not do well sharing a sleeping space :-) )

Another great Moderate Resort that your family would find fun is The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. We absolutely loved our stay in The Cabins, which offer 1 queen bed, 1 bunk bed, and 1 double-size sleeper sofa. Even better? You'll have a spacious living room, full kitchen (including table and chairs), full bathroom, your own grill and picnic table outside and lots to do at the resort, too.

In addition, there are many Deluxe Villas and Deluxe Resort Hotels that offer a fifth sleeping option--such as a daybed--in their regular-sized rooms. Adults can sleep comfortably in these fifth sleeping options, so no matter the height of your teen, they'll fit just fine. This gives your family even more options when planning your stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
