Hi Deborah,
Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are planning on visiting Walt Disney World Resort at a great time, there are so many exciting experiences happening this summer, your family will have a blast!
To answer your question, Walt Disney World Resort uses the honour system regarding ages of children. I was always a little anxious when my daughter was younger, she was tiny, but had a very large vocabulary for her young age and wasn’t afraid to speak up. We had a Cast Member ask her how old she was one time when she was still two and her reply of forty years old got some pretty big laughs. I told the Cast Member she was in fact only two and she made a note and carried on. Cast Members at Dining Locations will ask in advance for a child’s age in order to accurately account for guests. Because I tend to worry, I would take a picture of her birth certificate and passport with my phone just in case someone asked for proof, which never happened.
In in terms of attractions, your daughter will be able to ride on any attraction she meets the height requirement for regardless of age.
Theme Park Tickets allow entry into the Theme Park where guests are free to enjoy all of the attractions, and guests under three do not require a ticket to enjoy the Theme Parks, including all of the attractions.
I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Deborah. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
Stephanie
