DS age 17 and DD age 13. looking at the AKL Jambo House 1 bdr villas. the ones with the sleeper twin chair, that way both can have own bed. Is this chair actual twin size? 13 yr old is abuot 5 feet 2 in. and 105 lbs. Good choice for our situation?

    Hi Chris,

This is an excellent question.  The addition of the pull out chair as another space for someone to sleep is a wonderful feature in the one-bedroom villas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  I think it's a great idea for you to use it just as you are, so that each child has a separate space to sleep.

The chair for these villas is listed as a "twin-size sleeper chair."   My seven-year-old has slept on the pull-out bed from those chairs many times, and she is engulfed - it seems huge with her in it!  Imagine a large armchair that pulls out to a bed.  It is fairy long, if anything, it may be just slightly narrower than a typical twin bed.  I think that it should be comfortable for your daughter considering that she is the size of a small adult.  Viewing the gallery of photos for Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House may help you as well.  Select the type of accommodation you are considering, and you'll be able to see the chair that will put out into a bed.  It is the orange-tan chair in the living area.

I hope that this information is helpful, Chris.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
