At what age does a child need a magic band? My daughter will be bringing a 2 yr old on our trip to W Disney World and I wondered if she would need a magic band.

    Dear Thomas,
Thank you for bringing us your excellent question about MagicBands for toddlers! How excited your daughter must be knowing her little pumpkin will be immersed in the magic of Walt Disney World soon! I bet YOU are the most excited of all, Thomas! I know my dad IS the most excited one in our party as he gets to see the grandchildren smile and enjoy themselves at the Parks; every smile drawn on their faces warms his heart!
Since MagicBands are used to enter Parks, open your Disney Resort hotel room, charge merchandise and food to your room reservation, redeem FastPass+ selections, your two-year-old will not need one. Remember that your little musketeer is Mickey Mouse's guest and will not even need a Park ticket. Children under the age of three do not need a MagicBand as their parents will take care of all that for them.

Remind your daughter to take advantage of Baby Care Centers located in all four theme Parks, where she will be able to feed and change your grandchild in a more private and cozy environment.
Thomas, I hope this answer has been useful. Don't forget we'll be here for anything else you may need as you continue to plan your vacation! I wish you and your extended family the most magical trip of all.
    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
