Hi again!, We are due to visit Disney in October, I have looked on a number of websites for the sort of temperatures to expect and they all give an average high and average low which are miles apart! What sort of temp could I expect for a 'normal' oct?

Hi, Elizabeth!   October is one of those crazy weather months in Orlando.  I have been there in October when it has been in the 90's and other times when it is very mild and comfortable.

I am looking at the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, and here is what they post for weather for October:

    Average Low:  65 degrees
    Average High:  84 degrees
Average Rainfall per month:  2.8 inches

But what I think you want the most:  Average Daily Temperature:  75 degrees.

The best thing you can do to plan is to check www.weather.com just before you leave for your vacation.  Check the 10 day forecast and pack accordingly.  If it looks like rain, don't forget rain ponchos, umbrellas, and extra shoes.   If it is going to get chilly, an extra sweatshirt is always a good idea.

Wishing you sunny skies and comfortable temperatures during your magical Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
