Is it still against the rules for guests to ride with the conductor on the monorail?

    Hi Michael!
Thanks for your question and for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Getting around the Walt Disney World Resort involves many types of Disney resort transportation. There's buses, all sorts of watercraft, the new Minnie Van service and yes, the iconic monorail! And the beauty is that resort guests can choose these options to use at their discretion and leisure for free (except for the Minnie Van service).

There was a time when it was an exciting possibility to be selected to ride up front in the monorails with the conductor. My youngest daughter actually had this opportunity on one of her first ever visits! It was a blast!
Sadly, for safety reasons, Guests are no longer permitted to ride up front on any of the monorails. However, that doesn't dampen the excitement of riding on these futuristic beauties when the destination is a Disney theme park!

I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical trip!!
