Hi again! Question about meeting Mickey - As the fast pass times fill up fast, is it necessary to have a fast pass for every member of my family if only my son wants a picture with Mickey? The rest of us just want to witness the encounter.

    Hi Maegan,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.

The first time my little guy met Mickey was a pretty special moment for everyone, myself included! Meeting him at either Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom Park or at Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot (along with Goofy and Minnie) has become an absolutely essential part of every visit to Walt Disney World Resort for my family, which is why we try to make sure that these attractions are part of our party’s FastPass+ selections at least once during our stay.

Even if your son is the only one in the picture, however, everyone who is in your party and who wants to witness Disney Magic at its finest will also need to include this attraction among their FastPass+ selections. If you’re having trouble finding a time due to your party’s size, try splitting up into one or two smaller groups and looking for return windows. If that doesn’t work, keep trying! Plans often change as people get closer to their vacation dates, and I’ve been shocked to find FastPass+ selection available at some extremely popular attractions the day before or even the day of some of our visits!

    Have a Magical Day,
