Hello again - you're panel has been so helpful so I have another question - thinking of doing Character dinner at Crystal Palace - would we also be able to see the fireworks from there if we opt for a late dinner? or is seating only in doors?

    Hello, Kelley!

You'll really love dining at The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park! That's one of our "must-do" restaurants each year, and serves really delicious buffet-style meals.

The seating is indoors, however, but if you plan your dining carefully, you could easily just walk right out of the restaurant a few minutes prior to the show beginning (especially if you're not particular about where you stand to see it.) Take a look at the date you're thinking of eating at The Crystal Palace, then check out the calendar page for Magic Kingdom Park. Click on that exact date and you'll see the time that Wishes Nighttime Spectacular is scheduled to begin. Then, book your dinner about 1 1/2 to 2 hours prior to that time. Be sure to arrive at the check-in window at least 15 minutes prior to your reservation, too, to be sure that you are seated as close to your reservation time as possible. You can easily be in and out of this great restaurant, well-fed and smiling, in about an hour. Therefore, the added time I mentioned above is simply if you'd like to find a place to view the fireworks after eating, or if you're more comfortable with a little extra time built in, should you be seated later than you wanted.

Keep in mind, too, the time of year that you'll be in WDW. The more popular seasons will see larger crowds in the parks, so you will need to find a viewing location earlier than just as the show is about to begin. In less-crowded seasons, you can stroll out of the restaurant, walk a few yards away, look up and enjoy.
