Me again! My wife & I are planning to celebrate our 60th anniversary in WDW with our children, grandkids, & great-grandkids. We're a group of 16 just starting to plan. Any recommendations for a resort? We've stayed almost everywhere.

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Phil!

Oh, wow! What a magical way to celebrate your 60th anniversary! How exciting!

We love getting the extended family together for special celebrations at Walt Disney World, so I understand your need to find just the right place to call home.

First, consider if you'd like to have one large space where most of you can stay, and all of you can gather for those times when you are not touring the parks together. For example, some Grand Villas at Disney Deluxe Villas can accommodate up to 12 adults. The large family/dining areas in these villas give you all a place to gather both before you head out for park fun and for some downtime before bedtime. Should you need a little more space, add a studio to your reservation for those extra beds you may need. Our large family favorite was a Grand Villa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, but Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort can't be beat for its location right next door the magic of both the monorail and Magic Kingdom Park. The open living/dining area of a 2 Bedroom Villa (sleeps up to 9 adults) here is large enough for your gang to gather, too, especially fun for watching fireworks from your Theme Park View Villa.

Another option that gives your group a little more space is Disney's Art of Animation Resort. There, Family Suites sleep up to 6 adults, and give each group two full bathrooms as well as a separate sleeping area (great for when little ones need a quiet spot for a nap) and kitchenette. Disney's All-Star Music Resort also features Family Suites (that sleep up to 6 adults), so this may also be a good option for those need more than a studio that sleeps four.

A really fun place for your family of 16 would be The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  Each cabin sleeps up to 6 adults, and you could request to have 3 booked in the same loop as each other, essentially giving you a neighborhood for playing together.

Think, too, of the parks you'll frequent the most, and consider the proximity of each resort to them. If you think everyone will want some pool time, too, check out each resort's options. Having some great extra space to gather together, in a convenient location with a fun pool may be the best choice for your super-special celebration.

A very happy anniversary from all of us at Disney Parks Moms Panel,  Phil! As you plan your most magical celebration, be sure to send us more questions. We love to help!
