Hello again! I am visiting 9/14-9/21 with my mom and 2 kids, 8 and 4, and we have the deluxe DP and I was looking for suggestions for the panels' 5 favorite TS restaurants. Kids are pretty well behaved so nicer places are ok. Thanks!!

    Hi Ellen,

There are a lot of great restaurants to choose from at Walt Disney World, and I think each one of us would have 5 different favorite table service restaurants if we had to choose.  I think table service restaurants fall into 3 different favorite categories: character dining, unique/themed dining, and signature dining.  Rather than give you my top 5 from all categories, I'll give you a top 3 in each -- that's 9 restaurants to choose from!

    • Character Dining: Chef Mickey's - features Mickey and pals at the Contemporary.  Crystal Palace inside Magic Kingdom with Winnie the Pooh and friends, Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.  Now, if your 2 children are girls or princess fans, then Akershus in Epcot is a must.
    • Unique Dining: 'Ohana at Polynesian, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Biergarten in Epcot
    • Signature Dining: (These meals use 2 table credits, but the food is wonderful)  Flying Fish Cafe, California Grill, Jiko

These are just a few of my favorite restaurants.  There are so many to choose from.  If you need any further help, please feel free to ask a follow up question.  I'm always happy to help navigate dining options!

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
