Hi Moms! (again!) Traveling 2/2/14-2/8/14, usually come in Spring/Summer. Can you tell me what to expect as far as crowds/weather. We have Pirates & Pals booked, but now second guessing.. will it be too cold for a 3 year old? Thanks for your help!

    Hi there, Meagan!

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your great question!

My general rule of thumb when traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort in February is to avoid President's Day week because there are lots of schools around the nation that have that entire week off. Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend also takes place in February, but this year, it is February 20, to February 23, 2014, so you'll be coming before all of the marathon runners arrive. The crowds are typically pretty mild during the rest of the month.

As far as the weather goes, I have to just advise you to keep an eye out on weather.com. Funny enough, my family was at Walt Disney World yesterday and it was downright hot during the day. Today, on the other hand, it was pretty chilly...like around 50 degrees or so. When I've traveled in February, the weather is very similar, so my best recommendation is to pack layers. You'll more-than-likely need a jacket if you plan on staying out late in the evenings.

The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is really a lot of fun! My family actually enjoyed this experience earlier this year, in February actually! It was a bit chilly and we all had long pants and jackets on. We also brought a blanket for my toddler nephew so we could bundle him up on the boat. He was as happy as a clam and we all had a swashbuckling good time! This is one of those not-to-be-missed adventures!

I sure hope this helps! Please let us know if we can help with any other questions you have!

Wishing you a Pixie Dusted vacation!
