Hi again! touring plans shows the MK welcome show @7:50am. If we are on the boat from WL at 7:15ish, is that enough time to get there and have a decent spot to see it? I was under the impression the show was not before EMH,but regular opening time? THX

    Hi, Jennifer!

Thank you for checking in - and for the chance to a little investigating.

I visited TouringPlans.com, a site I use and highly recommend. On their site, I found the description of the welcome show:

"This show starts about 10 minutes before 'rope drop' -- the official opening time at the Magic Kingdom. Guests are let through the turnstiles anywhere between 20 and 60 minutes before official park opening and are treated to a welcome show on the train station platform. The show includes dancers, Main Street citizens, and a slew of Disney characters who enter stylishly via the Walt Disney World Railroad." (http://touringplans.com/magic-kingdom/attractions/magic-kingdom-welcome-show)

That is definitely consistent with what I have heard from various Cast Members. And when I called, I was again reassured that the Morning Show is never held prior to Extra Magic Hours. It is held daily before rope drop so that maximum number of Guests can enjoy.

This might be a simple error on the part of Touring Plans. It might bear a quick note to apprise them of the issue. But rest assured that you will be able to see the Welcome Show prior to rope drop on your Magic Kingdom day

    Have a wonderful time!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
