Hello again! Thinking of park hopping from Magic Kingdom. Would you recommend hopping to Epcot or Hollywood studios with 2 young kids?

    Welcome back again Nelson!

Thanks so much for your questions! We are so glad to help you with your upcoming trip! You are just days away and I am so excited for you!

Having a ticket with the Park Hopper Option is a great way to maximize your trip to Walt Disney World. I agree with your decision to start your day at Magic Kingdom Park. I consider it to be the best Park to experience with two young kids. Now, as to where you want to "hop" to that depends on what you are all interested in.  I will break down the Parks for you to help you make your decisions and at the end, I will tell you what my family would choose.

EPCOT is a great Park for little kids. The Park is broken into a few neighborhoods that include World Discovery which has some fun rides about space, science, and speed. My kids love Mission: SPACE but the Green Mission is the only one I would recommend for you and your kids. (Stay away from Orange Mission if you wish to keep your food inside you) Green Mission is not nausea-inducing but enough of a simulator experience that my whole family can enjoy it happily. World Nature has several perfect rides for little ones and I promise you that Soarin' Around the World may seem scary as you are lifted off the ground but it's so relaxing. World Showcase is my favorite part of EPCOT with three more family-fun rides plus some great areas to explore. I haven't even discussed all the neighborhoods but you will find something for everyone in each area. The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival ends on July 5, 2023, and increases the fun exponentially with playgrounds, Spike's Pollen-Nation Exploration scavenger hunt, and a live butterfly exhibit.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has Toy Story Land which I find to be the best draw for little ones. Three perfectly family-friendly rides in this area while being immersed in Andy's backyard! If anyone in your family loves Star Wars then you must check out Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge which has two fun rides that can have some intensity to it but you can enjoy it as a family. Just confirm the height restrictions. My favorite nighttime spectacular is in this Park. I love Fantasmic! and so does my entire family.

So now, that you know what each Park has I hope you find the one your family would enjoy. My personal preference that I will only share with you and all the other people on the internet is EPCOT. If I had only half a day and a Festival was occurring I know that I can have a fun time with delicious food and fun for the whole family.  Remember to make your Theme Park Reservation as soon as possible for the first Park you will be visiting. You don't need a reservation for the second park which you can enter at 2 PM.

I hope this helps and you have fun no matter what you do. Have a magical time!

    Happy Planning!
