Hi again, thanks for all your help. I am trying to decide which water park would be better for us. Would you recommend Blizzard Beach or Typhoon for kids that are 15,10,8. Thanks again.

    Hi Leanne,

Both water parks are great, and I think all of us "moms" have different opinions! I'm partial to Blizzard Beach. If your kids are daredevils, I think they'll agree with me.  Summit Plummet is a terrifyingly fun slide. At 120 feet, it is one of the tallest, fastest free-fall slides in the country. There is also a great family white water raft ride, and my kids love Toboggan Racer, and 8 lane water slide where your whole family can race each other. It's also kind of fun to take the ski lift to ride the slides, although you'll soon find out that walking is quicker.

Now, if you happen to be a family that loves wave pools, then no question, go to Typhoon Lagoon. The lagoon is a 2 1/2 acre pool that features surfing sized waves. They also have Crush 'n Gusher, a roller coaster type water slide, that is a lot of fun. The opportunity to snorkel with sharks is a big appeal for some guests at this park.

Whichever park you go to, make sure you try the fresh donuts. They are delicious at both places!

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
