Aloha and welcome back to planDisney, Kristen!
Kristen, just as Moana was thrilled to see Maui return, that's how we at planDisney feel when a guest comes back with another question! Now, Kristen, let's talk about your April vacation...
Kristen, as a
Disney Vacation Club Member, I also have a bucket list of properties I'm hoping to visit, so I appreciate this question. Since
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is currently undergoing a reimagining, I understand your hesitation. Kristen, there is no "one-size-fits-all" answer as each guest's desired experience is different, but I'll offer up a few points to consider.
First, if you love the island vibe in your room and plan to spend a lot of time in the parks or at the pools, an April visit to
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows might be the perfect spring getaway. Since many guest rooms are unavailable to book, you're likely to find a more relaxing atmosphere where tranquility reigns. If your priority is to stroll the grounds with fewer than normal crowds, this is your chance!
However, if you're hoping to enjoy all of the
dining options historically popular, like
'Ohana or
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, keep in mind that these are currently unavailable. Transportation may also be a factor that you'll want to consider. If one of your priorities in visiting Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is to enjoy monorail access to
Magic Kingdom Park, you may want to consider delaying your stay as the monorail is temporarily unavailable.
Kristen, I truly believe there is no wrong choice- just a choice between two different experiences and I hope this has helped make your decision. While I haven't yet made it out to my #1 bucket list:
Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas in Ko Olina, Hawai`i, I hope whenever you check off Disney's Polynesian Village Resort it is a Magical stay. Please come on back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have.
A Hui HouLauren
