Hi there (again)! We reserved a preferred room at POR for July 2012 and am debating whether we should switch to the princess rooms. I like the theme but close proximity is good for my 5 and 3 year olds. Can I have both preferred and princess? thx much

    Hi, Mallory!

The Royal Rooms at Port Orleans Riverside (slated to start opening in March/April of 2012) encompass a variety of different room categories, depending upon location and view.

Preferred rooms are the closest to the restaurants, transportation and main building at Riverside. These rooms are found only in Alligator Bayou lodges 14, 15, 18 and 27.

The view from a preferred room could be a parking lot, a garden/bayou, the pool or the river. Right now, if you'd like a preferred room, there is a $25 cost (price subject to change).

The Royal Rooms are located in Parterre Place and Oak Manor. These sections of the Resort do not offer the proximity of Alligator Bayou to transportation and restaurants.

A standard Royal Room generally faces toward the parking lot side of the building.

A Royal Room with Garden View provides views of the gardens, courtyards (including water features and fountains) or landscaping.

A Water View Royal Room overlooks a swimming pool.

The River View Royal Room offers direct riverfront viewing. Of the Royal Rooms, this class is most expensive.

To be closest to Alligator Bayou and the main building, you can request a Royal Room in Oak Manor. While your request is not guaranteed, the reservationist will note your request and the Cast Member at Port Orleans will do his/her level best to accommodate you and your traveling party.

    Have a wonderful stay!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
