Hello again. I just read that you need to pick up a wrist band to stay in the park during the extra hours. I know that you need your key, but WHERE do you get the wrist bands?

Typically Cast Members will put up the Extra Magic Hour (EMH) signs 2 hours before the park’s regular closing time. For example, if the park closes at 7 p.m. and EMH is 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., then you’ll be able to get wrist bands beginning around 5 p.m.

This does not effect touring as many wrist band stations will be conveniently set up around the park. You’ll notice signs reading “Extra Magic Hours. For Walt Disney World resort guests. Guests with valid Walt Disney World resort I.D. may obtain Extra Magic Hours admission wrist band at this location from” and the times will be clearly stated.

If you are just arriving to the park, wrist band stations are also near the entrance. For example, when entering the Animal Kingdom there is a convenient station near the main entrance after you go through the turnstiles.

Wristbands are only given inside the park offering the Extra Magic Hours. You are correct in that you’ll show your Resort’s Key to the World card. It’s very organized, simple and easy!
