Hi, Catherine! Welcome back to planDisney. Thanks for sailing our way again with another question!
Cruise pre-planning is basically my love language, so I'm very happy to help you prepare for your sailing aboard the
Disney Wonder. The earliest departure time from San Diego International Airport on debarkation day that
Disney Cruise Line recommends is 11:45 a.m. That should give you plenty of time to enjoy your final breakfast onboard, disembark, grab your luggage, go through customs, and take a ride to the airport. It's not fun to think about leaving such a wonderful vacation, but the good news is that by following this guidance, you won't be rushed and you'll have plenty of time to reminisce about all of the fun you have had onboard.
I see your sailing is taking you to
Catalina Island. Our family sailed to Catalina Island this year onboard the Disney Wonder and we loved it! I highly recommend taking a Jeep tour around the island. We saw so many buffalo and enjoyed the views.
While there is plenty to see off of the ship, your evenings onboard will be packed with fun and entertainment. Please be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before you head out for your adventure so you can stay on top of the schedule. From home, you'll be able to reserve cruise activities such as adult-exclusive dining reservations and
Port Adventures once your cruise fare is paid in full and your
booking window opens. You'll also be able to view a fun character-filled countdown displaying the very seconds till your sailing gets underway!
Once you step on the ship, the magic of the app unlocks. You'll be able to view the Daily Activity Schedule for each day of your voyage. If you see an activity listed that you don't want to miss, you can click the heart icon next to the listing to "favorite" it. If you enable notifications from the app, the app will send a reminder about fifteen minutes before any "favorited" activity begins. This will keep you informed about what's going on while you are participating in events around the ship, or simply relaxing onboard.
Please visit us again with more questions! My pals and I are here for you.
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
