Vanessa from OH Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello again! Can you please explain how to sign up for yoga on Castaway Cay? What time is the yoga usually scheduled for? Is there a fee? And what is included? Thank you so much!

Ahoy there, Vanessa! Great to have you alongside again here at planDisney! I'm so excited that you're thinking of some of the more off-the-beaten-path opportunities for your cruise this July!

Ah, the calming practice of yoga paired with the idyllic setting of Disney Castaway Cay - and more specifically, Serenity Bay! Beautiful sand, pristine water, and the sea breezes that songs are written about. Could there be anything more relaxing?

Well, probably the Serenity Bay Massage, but I digress...

Any time my family sails on an itinerary with a stop at Disney Castaway Cay, we have the same routine: wake up early, watch the ship pull into the dock, be some of the first at Cabanas for breakfast, then grab our sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, swimsuits and assorted beach day necessities and head to the gangway to disembark! No need for the trams for us, though, we are those crazy people who like to walk all the way to Serenity Bay from the ship! We've also found that this is the perfect warm-up for Yoga, and we typically stroll about a  half hour or so before we see the instructor setting up! In my experience, that puts the Yoga class at Serenity Bay right around 11 a.m.!

Now the timing is always subject to change - as are most activities - but we've seen it held at 11 a.m. nearly every time we've been to Serenity Bay! It's like...clockwork without a clock - there's something poetic about that!

You'll also be pleased to learn that this beachfront yoga is one of the many activities included in your Disney Cruise Line vacation! Much like the complimentary Yoga and Pilates workout classes offered aboard the ships at the Fitness Center at Senses Spa & Salon, this is what I'd call a light practice, but not necessarily a beginner's class! Oh, and definitely have to mention the added difficulty of being held on sand! If you're a true beginner, you may find it difficult, but I'd say those with even brief Yoga experience will find it fun and maybe just a bit challenging.

As always, I suggest you check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app on embarkation day just to be certain of whether Serenity Bay Yoga is taking reservations. It's also a great excuse to stop by Senses Spa & Salon on embarkation day, both to learn about the other complimentary fitness classes that are offered, and get any of your Serenity Bay Yoga questions answered!

Thank you so much for your question, Vanessa! As always, I look forward to hearing what you think about these experiences, and I'm so excited for you to be aboard in just a few short months! As Tiana might say, you're almost there! If at any point of your planning you require assistance, please drop me another line here at planDisney!

    Namaste,

    Andrew
